TAP Air Portugal airline informed it would not operate the direct flight Lisbon-Bucharest anymore starting January 27, 2019, due to the reduced profitability, a company’s press release informs

The customers who have already bought tickets for flights after January 27 will be protected and redirected to other airlines. They will be informed about the new routes or they will be able to ask for the money reimbursement in case they would want the cancellation of tickets. Passengers from Romania will be able to contact the Call Center in Lisbon, at: +351 218 411 100.

TAP also said it regrets the cut-off of this route. This has been the second attempt to operate on the Romanian market. “The resumed flights have proved the reduced profitability once again, which cannot justify the continuation of the flights on the Lisbon-Bucharest route,” the airline also states.
