Alexandru Reff takes over as Country Managing Partner for Deloitte Romania

As of June 1st, Alexandru Reff will be the new Country Managing Partner Deloitte Romania and Moldova, thus replacing Ahmed Hassan, who takes on a regional leadership position, a press release informs.

Alexandru Reff is an attorney at law, founder of Reff & Associates, the law firm representing Deloitte Legal in Romania. He started his career in Deloitte in 1997 and served in various executive roles, including Tax and Legal Partner in Charge for a period of four years. A recognized expert in M&A and real estate, Alex is appreciated for his collaborative leadership and building long-term client partnerships.

Ahmed Hassan will take on new regional responsibilities within Deloitte, as Central Europe Risk Leader and member of the Regional Executive Committee. He joined Deloitte Romania in year 2000 and is a highly respected professional, with more than 20 years’ expertise in financial advisory and audit.

During his mandate, Deloitte has seen a revenue increase from EUR 22 million year to more than 35 million EUR, almost 60 percent growth in six years. The firm’s current leadership team is represented by 17 Partners and 35 senior executives, while the firm’s headcount doubled to almost 700 people and the service portfolio expanded.

Reff & Associates will be led by Andrei Burz-Pînzaru, Partner, heading the firm’s banking and securities practice. Reff & Associates is one of the leading business law firms in Romania with an executive team of 6 Partners and more than 60 lawyers.
