According to Romanian Ambassador to the US, George Maior, there are new interests of some larger US companies to invest in Romania, noting that the investors need clear economic legislation.
“US investors need predictability in terms of economic legislation, the tax regime, they need a system less bureaucratic in the communication on investment decisions, they need a Romanian private environment able to interact with the American one in the light of modern commercial relationships concepts, they need an uncorrupted environment. Here, however, the things are much better,” George Maior noted at Digi24 TV.
He also stressed that the potential investors are pleased with progress on all these areas, but there’s always room for improvement.
Romanian Ambassador to the US said that has signals that in many areas – IT, energy – there are real interests of large American companies to invest on domestic market.
“It would be great for strengthening the relationship with the US in depth, not only in the usual areas,” George Maior said.
