Ameresco Sunel Energy, a joint venture between the American companies Ameresco and the Greek Sunel Group, announced engineering contracts worth 303.4 million euros for three solar parks in Romania, Seeking Alpha reports.

Ameresco said Sunel Energy will oversee the design, procurement, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the 466 MWp peak rated projects, which will feature more than 757,000 fixed-pitch solar modules. They are designed to replace coal-fired electricity generation.
Once fully operational, the solar parks are expected to offset nearly 735,000 tons/year of carbon dioxide emissions, contributing to Romania’s net-zero commitments.
