Angelo Zuccala takes the lead of Crowne Plaza hotel in Bucharest
Angelo Zuccala is the new General Manager of Crowne Plaza hotel in Bucharest, starting this April. The unit is owned and franchise operated by ANA Hotels and Intercontinental. According to local zf.ro, the new general manager has an experience of 19 years in the hospitality industry, the last 12 years being spent within the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), specializing in sales, food & beverage and operations management.
He is replacing Franz Rattenstetter who had led Crowne Plaza in Romanian capital for ten years, first in 2001- 2007 period and then between 2011 and 2015.
Angelo Zuccala comes to this position after being Executive Assistant Manager with five-star InterContinental hotel in Romania’s. His first senior management position within the IHG at Intercontinental Carlton Hotel Croisettes, Cannes, starting with 2002, where he managed the sales, events and banqueting departments.
Crowne Plaza hotel will renovate up to the end of the year all 164 rooms, the investment amounting to EUR 2.2 million. Beside these works, Crowne Plaza will invest in the renovation of the pool and fitness area and in May will reopen Citronelle restaurant terrace. These investments will be followed in 2016 by an upgrade in the design and functionality of the conference room and social events.
