Arctic, the Romanian-based home appliances producer, launches the intensive three-year development program Future In Talent (FIT) Graduate Engineering Program, intended for master’s degree graduates in the technical field who aim for a successful career within the company.
The educational project is a premiere for Arctic and is part of the talent management and development strategy. The FIT Graduate Engineering Program will begin in October 2021 with an estimated 20 participants from Romania and Turkey.
The recruitment process was launched last week in three Romanian universities – Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Wallachia University of Targoviste, University of Pitesti – and four in Turkey – Technical University of Istanbul, Technical University of the Middle East, Boğaziçi University and Koç University. Among the selection criteria are the average of the last year of studies, the grade for the dissertation (at least 8), the lack of arrears, extracurricular activities and recommendations from teachers.
Arctic will invest in the development of the technical and leadership skills of the participants, the program offering each young person a personalized development and training plan, a dedicated mentor and a study program focused on gaining practical experience and knowledge to complement those obtained in university laboratories. The first two years of the program will be dedicated to consolidating expertise and training for expert roles.
The first module will last 15 months and will consist of a rotation period between five technical departments within the two Arctic factories in Găești and Ulmi.
The second module will last eight months and will focus on the practical development of project management skills.
An optional third year of training is for those who are proving their potential and want to develop their leadership skills. For six months, participants will take part in an internship in one of the Arçelik departments in another country, to get in touch with a different culture. The final module involves the development and implementation of a project on a topic decided together with the managers Arctic and Arçelik.
