ARIR and The IR Society partner to provide international certification in Investor Relations

The Romanian Investor Relations Association (ARIR) and The UK Investor Relations Society (IR Society) are delighted to announce an exclusive collaboration. Romanian IR professionals have now access to IR Society’s courses and can obtain a Certificate in Investor Relations (CIR) from a leading global provider. CIR is an internationally recognised qualification for investor relations profession and is a comprehensive, stretching test of the competency in IR, providing the tools to further develop in this field.

IR Society has guided us in the process of setting up the Romanian Investor Relations Association and with this new collaboration we add an esential pillar in implementing best practices in Romania. We are enthusiastic to facilitate to the Romanian capital market professionals access to an internationally recognized qualification.”

Interested professionals are invited to join the program, which comprises of a self-study course and an exam in Bucharest. The topics covered in the course refer to Principles of Investor Relations, Financial Markets, Companies and Regulation, Regulatory Environment, Accounting Valuation and Investment Principles, Effective IR in practice, ensuring a broad understanding of the key elements of the IR field and financial markets, as well as capturing the essential elements of best practices in international markets.

ARIR is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that was set-up to provide current and potential issuers a platform for the development of Investor Relations (IR) professionals and contribute to the implementation of best practices in investor communication and corporate governance. It was established in November 2018 and has as members listed companies, companies with potential to become listed companies, fund managers, IR professionals as well as consultants. The founding members are BVB, ALRO, Electromagnetica, Franklin Templeton Management – Bucharest Branch, Hidroelectrica, Nuclearelectrica, Teraplast, Transelectrica, Daniela Șerban, Cosmin Răduță and Tony Romani, while Electrica, OMV Petrom and Antibiotice joined as Associate Members and INNOVA Project Consulting as Affiliate Member.

The Investor Relations Society (IR Society) is a membership organisation that exists to promote best practice investor relations in the UK and beyond. It is run by IR professionals for IR professionals.

Established in 1980, the IR Society’s mission is to promote best practice in investor relations; to support the professional development of its members; to represent their views to regulatory bodies, the investment community and government; and to act as a forum for issuers and the investment community.

The Society has over 850 members from the UK, Europe and beyond, including representatives from most of the FTSE 100, a large number of FTSE 250 companies and a number of AIM and smaller companies as well as IR advisers and service providers.
