The Association of the Operational Leasing Companies (ASLO) data show that the operational leasing market reached 56,000 vehicles in administration at the end of the first quarter of 2016, with almost 500 vehicles more than at end-2015 and up by 13 percent compared to the same period last year, according to a press release.
In the period under review, 2,600 vehicles were registered by the operational leasing companies, representing 12 percent of all new registrations (20,000 cars and light commercial vehicles).
The forecast for the end of the year of 60,000 vehicles in administration remains valid despite the slowdown in growth, compared to previous years, the release also reads.
“We see a maturing of the operational leasing market in the sense of continuing growth in both volumes and the share of full service product in total market,” ASLO’s President, Bogdan Apahidean stated.
According to ASLO, which celebrates 5 years since its establishment, the top five players in the field are LeasePlan Romania, Arval Service Lease Romania, ALD Automotive, Porsche Mobility and RCI Finantare Romania.
