AVON marks 21 years in Romania

AVON is marking 21 years on the Romanian beauty products market, a market that it is leading, boasting a turnover of over EUR 140 million in 2017 and a portfolio of over 1,000 cosmetics and fashion &home products.

AVON story in Romania started in 1997. It now has an operational center here serving five markets in Europe, set up in Chiajna in 2006 following an investment of over USD 12 million.

At present, AVON Romania is led  Andreea Moldovan, who coordinates the brand in five countries: Romania, Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Albania.

In 2013, AVON has joined the Top of the most innovative brands for Romanians, ranking first on Cosmetics category. In 2018, Roxana Minea, make up artist AVON, has made a live make up for robot Sophia.

For the past 21 years, AVON has invested in social campaign to fight against domestic violence and breast cancer, being awarded in Romania and abroad: at Cannes Lions in 2007, Gold Effie in 2016, CSR Romanian Award in 2016.

At present, the company is conducting an educational initiative dedicated to the youngsters, within the project In A Relationship, part of the Respect campaign.

AVON also organizes the largest event to recognize the efforts of the beauty&fashion online community in Romania, Digital Divas.
