Banking consortium supports Romanian industry through a syndicated loan of EUR 24 M

Pehart Tec Grup, the leading tissue paper manufacturer in Romania and one of the important in South Eastern Europe, controlled by Abris Capital Partners and Ioan Tecar, has contracted a revolving multi-currency credit facility amounting at EUR 24 million from a banking consortium comprising Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR), EximBank and Banca Transilvania, a press release informs

The credit facility has a three years maturity term with an extension option for another two years and Pehart Tec Grup will use it for a partial re-financing of the existing loans and for covering the working capital needs. For this financing operation, BCR is the Coordinator, Main Mandated Arranger and Agent.

In addition, BCR and Banca Transilvania have granted bi-lateral loans with a total amount of EUR 19 million to Pehart Tec Grup, for the investments projects implemented during the last two years in order to expand and improve the production facilities.

Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen (NNDKP) has been the law firm of the banking consortium and Clifford Chance Badea (CCB) represented the companies in Pehart Tec Grup and Abris Capital Partners.

Pehart Tec Grup is operating on two production facilities located in Dej (Cluj County) and Sebes (Alba County), with a production capacity of 100.000 tons tissue paper per year and respectively 30,000 tons of end products per year (toilet paper, kitchen towels, napkins).

I started my way in life with the intention to pursue a teaching career. But, after graduating from the Faculty of Letters – the University of Bucharest in 2004, my first job as a reporter at one of the leading newspapers in Romania changed my perspective. I have specialized in communication and communication campaigns, following the Master's courses at the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies (FJSC), attending a BBC Communications scholarship.
I’ve represented several important publications in Romania as business journalist, being accredited in the finance and banking field. In 2015, I had the opportunity to interview the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission Chief for Romania, Andrea Schaechter. As business journalist, I also had the opportunity to interview ministers for Economics and Commercial
Affairs offices within different embassies in Romania or officials of large companies investing on the domestic market.
After almost 15 years of journalism, I still want to explore new ways, to inform and stay updated. That’s why The Romania Journal project fits me so well.
Today I describe myself as a passionate about the history of world culture, having a PhD in Hebrew Culture and Civilization, after a scholarship at the University of Haifa International School, as a language addict, an environmental activist, pet lover and traveler.
