Black Friday 2015 will take place in Romania on November 20 (and during the weekend) and on November 27, when Black Friday is actually celebrated abroad, according to the website blackfridayromania.net.
Some stores will choose to offer discounts during November 24-29, while others will offer various promotions and discounts during November16-22, a week earlier than the date when Black Friday is celebrated abroad, as it happened in previous years.
In terms of discounts for various products, retailers aim to attract many customers who are willing to spend money for laptops, TVs, monitors, washing machines, tablets, mobile phones or video consoles.
In recent years, large stores, such as Emag, EvoMag.ro, Flanco, Domo, Altex, announced they will organize Black Friday a week earlier also in 2015, i.e. November 20, 2015. The price cuts are extended, in many cases, for the entire weekend, thus November 21-23.
But not all the stores in Romania will offer discounts on November 20, some retailers and some stores are preparing offers for November 27.
A Telekom Romania release informs that discounts up to 80% will be operated for the products on the websites Telekom.ro, ClickShop.ro and Germanos.ro during November 19-22. New categories or products will be available, i.e. cosmetics, perfumes and fashion on ClickShop.ro. Furthermore, www.telekom.ro will offer discounts for voice subscription packages, extra-options for cards recharge and gifts will be offered for Telekom fix services.
On the other hand, GadgetWorld retailer announced that their Black Friday event will run on Sun Friday name this year. Starting 2015, the retailer set up a campaign through which part of the GadgetWorld sales on Black Friday are going to help a social cause. Thus, 3 percent of the sales this year will be redirected to help the families of the Colectiv fire’s victims and the injured.
The list of stores that will participate to Black Friday 2015 is continuously updated. It includes electronics stores and IT shops of clothes, shoes and accessories stores, bookstores and teaching materials, watch shops, baby stores, Home & Deco stores or cosmetic stores.
Among the stores that have already announced their participation to Black Friday 2015 there are EvoMag, cel.ro, germanos.ro MarketOnline, Elephant, Otter, My Closet, Fashion Days, Mobexpert, Metro cash&carry and Avon.
Black Friday will be also marked in some less typical fields such as tourism or car sales. Therefore, autovit.ro, the website specialized in second hand and new car sales informed it would hold a Black Friday for the second year in a row.
Mareea travel agency also heralded 60 pc discounts for the summer 2016 on touristic packages on the seaside in Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Croatia and cultural circuits. The discounts are available only on November 20.
PayU leading payment services provider estimates the number of orders will double on Black Friday, with sales exceeding RON 450 million.
