Romania’s Blue Air won Europe’s Best Low Cost Carrier for 2018 as part of the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards, as a press release informs.
Blue Air officials consider this award “a fantastic achievement and shows how much Blue Air passengers appreciate traveling onboard our aircraft. This is the first time a Romanian airline receives this award, and the Travelers’ Choice Award is the greatest distinction offered by TripAdvisor.com, world’s largest travel website”.
The prize is awarded following reviews received from Blue Air passengers and comes as a validation of Blue Air values.
Romanian low-cost carrier Blue Air recorded a 70 percent increase in passengers number, with a total of over 5 million in 2017. For comparison, in 2015, the company transported only 2 million passengers. The increase in passengers number was based on 104 regular flights and more than 700 charter flights, after the company inaugurated 33 new routes in 2017 as part of its expansion operations.
