The Bozankaya company participated in the 2023 Railway Days Summit in Bucharest, an event in the railway industry, reaching its 18th edition, which took place between 17-18 of October. During the summit, the rolling stock designer & manufacturer presented a diverse range of transport solutions, including trams, eco-friendly vehicles, and modern driverless GoA4 subways, deliveries of metro wagons and they also provided details on the contract signed for the delivery of 100 subways in Istanbul.

We are honored to contribute to the modernization of Istanbul’s public transportation system and bring high-tech rail solutions to one of the world’s most crowded cities”, said Yiğit Belin, Head of Sales, Business Development, Bidding, Marketing, Cooperative Communications, and Project Contracts for Bozankaya.
Bozankaya’s diverse portfolio also includes third-generation electric buses and battery trolleybuses, set to be launched in May at the Istanbul Busworld. These state-of-the-art modes of transportation are designed to offer passengers comfort and efficiency with highly advanced technological features. These vehicles are known for their high durability due to their innovative design, double-actuated driving system optimizing energy efficiency, and their ability to provide eco-friendly, quiet, and efficient urban transport with reduced operational and maintenance costs.
During his speech presented at one of the panel sessions, Yiğit Belin, representing Bozankaya, highlighted the company’s evolution and recognition as the “Company of the Year” by Frost and Sullivan in 2015, as well as the distinction received at the ERCI which is one of the biggest railway cluster in the world Innovation Awards in 2021. He emphasized the company’s extensive portfolio, including the design and production of bogies for rail vehicles, trams, subways, electric buses, trolleybuses, and electrical components. Bozankaya operates three factories in Turkey and has offices in Ankara, Miami, and Hannover, along with impressive production capabilities. Regarding the policies promoted by Bozankaya on gender equality, Yiğit Belin mentions, ”We need to start transforming ourselves and the first thing shall be to increase the number of women employees in key points in order to use the full potential.”
The company aims to expand in Romania and Europe. Furthermore, Bozankaya is committed to participating in the development of communities in Romania, particularly in projects in Bucharest, Iași and Timișoara.
