The Competition Council has authorized the transaction whereby Central Bottlings Company Ltd takes over from Molkerei Alois Muller GmbH & CO KG the stake in the capital of Muller Dairy Ro SRL.
The release issued by the CC reads that Central Bottlings will be sole shareholder of Muller Dairy Ro. Previous to this transaction, Muller Dairy Ro was owned by The Central Bottlings and Molkerei Alois Muller GmbH & CO KG.
“The Competition Authority has analyzed the deal and found out that it does not pose significant obstacles to real competition on the Romanian market or on a substantial share of it, mainly by setting up or consolidating a dominant position,” the release reads.
Central Bottlings Company Ltd is an Israeli company trading beer, natural and carbonated juices and dairy products in Romania.
Muller Dairy Ro mainly deals with intermediation of trade with food products, beverages and tobacco, and sells dairy products.
“The decision will be posted on the CC website after the confidential information is eliminated,” the release reads.
