Dacia Duster owners with identification numbers in the formula “UUYYYYYYXXXXXXXX” are invited to come in service for the recalibration of the injection computer, a document posted on the website of the National Authority for Consumer Protection (www.anpc.gov.ro ) reads.

Dacia representatives estimate that 1,826 Duster cars could be affected by an injection computer failure.

“Dacia has identified the possibility of incorrectly calibrating the injection computer. This issue could lead to the failure of the Stop&Start and the ESM (Energy Smart Management) systems,” the document reads.

Dacia Duster owners are thus invited to contact ‘at the soonest’ the services from the authorised Dacia network in Romania, in order to set a schedule for checking the injection computer.

“If considered necessary, a new software version will be installed” for free, Dacia informs.

The intervention would last about 35 minutes.
