Dacia turnover exceeds EUR 5bn for the first time

The turnover of Automobile Dacia has exceeded in 2017, for the first time, the EUR 5 billion threshold, up by 11% against 2016, the company informs. The profit before tax has increased by 9%, up to EUR 120 million. The contribution of car and spare parts sales to the turnover was 92% of the overall value. The exports share in sales was of 93%.

The turnover expressed in national currency increased by 11.45% as compared to 2016. Last year, Dacia had a turnover of RON 23.1 billion (EUR 5.1 billion), Liviu Bocsaru, Automobile Dacia SA Administrative and Financial Director, says.

Exports grew by 10% against 2016. Sales abroad (exports and in the EU) of vehicles and spare parts had an important share in Dacia sales (92.6%).

In 2017, the results before tax amounted to RON 550.5 million (EUR 120.5 million), up by 9% against 2016.

The Group Renault overall investments at Dacia were of about EUR 2.3 billion since 2000 until the end of 2017.

The Group’s overall investments in Romania, since 2000, amount to EUR 2.8 billion.
