EUR 58m hydropower plant in Hunedoara County, to be opened by Hidroelectrica this year

The Bretea (Hunedoara County) hydropower plant, on river Strei, will become operational in December this year, after an EUR 58 million investment, insolvent company Hidroelectrica announced on Friday.
The power plant has an installed capacity of 12MW, being concluded 62%.
The investment project on Strei River eyes the construction of seven hydropower plants, an investment estimated to EUR 420 million.
The representative of Hidroelectrica’s trustee, Remus Borza, will visit Friday and Saturday, together with Energy Minister Andrei Gere, the branches and Ha?eg, Caransebe?, Targu Jiu and Iron Gates plants to check the progress of work on investment projects Bretea, Poiana Marului and Dumitra-Bumbe?ti.
