The exports of electricity increased in the first five months of 2015 by 27% as compared to the same period last year, informs the National Regulatory Authority for Energy (ANRE). This increase occurred as a result of connecting the Romanian energy market to the ones of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Imports also increased from 1.35 TWh to 1.7 TWh, but overall import-export balance has increased in favour of exports, reports.
