The German manufacturer of small arms for NATO, Heckler & Koch, has opened a company in our country. The Romanian subsidiary is called Heckler & Koch Romania, has a share capital of 100,000 lei and is fully owned by the parent company in Germany, according to ONRC data from the Official Gazette.
The Heckler & Koch Group with all its legal entities in Germany, France, the UK and the US had revenues of 301.4 million euros in 2023, insignificantly lower than those generated in 2022. The Heckler & Koch Group had EBITDA of 62.2 million euros in 2023, about 24% lower than that recorded in 2022, according to the H&K group results.
On November 28, 2024, Heckler & Koch announced that it had acquired all shares in Chrom-Müller Metallveredelung GmbH from the previous shareholders, the Stark and Müller-Stark families. With this strategic acquisition, Heckler & Koch secured its long-term expertise in the field of chrome plating of weapon barrels, which is primarily aimed at the field of military weapons, but which can also be used in the civilian field or the automotive industry, mechanical and plant engineering and the aviation industry to extend the service life of products.
