The French tire manufacturer Michelin has chosen to move dozens of positions related to the Service & Solutions division from Great Britain to Romania. Thus, several teams will work from the Shared Services Center in Bucharest until the end of this year, according to MSN reports. Also, several stations from the Michelin center in Stoke-on-Trent will also come to Poland.

The company will transfer approximately 60 back-office roles from its Stoke-on-Trent factory in the UK to Eastern Europe.

By the end of 2024, 22 positions will be relocated to Bucharest, Romania, with an additional 39 moving to Poland by September 2025. The 22 functions to be relocated at the Shared Services Center in Bucharest until the end of December are within the Service & Solutions department.

Alongside this back-office relocation, Michelin is reorganizing its tire production across Europe. Some of the manufacturing currently taking place at its Olsztyn facility in Poland will be transferred to its factory in Zalău, Romania, by the end of this year.
