The Competition Council has authorized the transaction through which Romcim SA acquired the company Tehno World SRL.
Romcim, part of the CRH Group, is active in the production of cement, aggregates, concrete, and precast concrete elements. Romcim owns and operates two cement factories in Medgidia and Hoghiz, a grinding station in Târgu-Jiu, as well as a network of cement terminals, quarries, gravel pits, aggregate depots, concrete stations, and precast concrete element plants.
Tehno World operates in the production and sale of plastic pipes in Romania, with a factory in Fălticeni, Suceava County.
Following its analysis, the Competition Council found that this operation does not pose significant obstacles to effective competition in the Romanian market or in a substantial part of it, and there are no serious doubts regarding its compatibility with a normal competitive environment.
The decision will be published on the website of the national competition authority after the removal of confidential information.
