Connections IT company has expanded its range of solutions for the transport and logistics market with two robots which are able to reduce processing errors by 100%, to decrease the huge amount of processing work that led to overtime for employees, to free staff from repetitive tasks, thus allowing them to focus on high added value activities.

The solution developed by Connections – ‘trusted UiPath implementation partner’ – won the first prize at the Tranzit Innovation Award, Tranzit Magazine’s third edition of the annual Supply-Chain innovation competition.

This is the first time we took part in such a competition. We attended because we wanted to show the added value that digital transformation and robotic process automation approaches bring to the industry beyond the classical software applications. We have to take into account that, especially for repetitive tasks, robots can work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, errors are eliminated, performance increases by about 85%, productivity is much higher, and costs drop with about 65%,” George Niţă, RPA Business Unit Manager at Connections states.

Implementation of RPA on the UiPath framework lasted approximately six weeks and was created for two key companies in the logistics industry. The solution was created on the basis of a business analysis that revealed two areas where robotic process automation brings added value, namely high-volume repetitive activities, and reporting areas where it is essential to eliminate errors, including those generated by the human factor.

There are a consistent number of applications In the Connections portfolio for the transport and logistics industry related to cost management and efficiency of transport fleet.

Connections has already successfully implemented robot automation processes in various industries, from FMCG and banking companies to accounting firms, BPOs, healthcare companies, and laboratory tests. The robotic processes involved departments in the financial and accounting area and in the operational area where monthly reporting operations, leave management, invoicing in accounting software, and back-office processes in the banking industry were automated.

Connections, a Romanian-based digital transformation company, with 300 employees and offices in Bulgaria, Serbia, specialized in IT Outsourcing, Business Process Outsourcing and Software Development, signed signed a partnership with UiPath in 2018 and together they have already successfully implemented robotic process automations in key industries. Connections has also invested over EUR 200.000 in developing a fintech platform for open banking which aims to integrate the APIs provided by the Romanian banks.
