Conpet, on Proprietatea Fund sales list. First package sold for nearly RON 100 M

Proprietatea Fund (FP) continues its strategy of selling important assets in the portfolio.
Thus, FP sold 23.6 percent of oil product transport company Conpet based in Ploiesti on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) via a private placement, in a transaction of almost RON 100 million.
“Following the completion of the private placement procedure on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) of the ordinary shares held by the Fund in Conpet, an operation announced Wednesday, the final number of the offered shares is of 2,047,095 ordinary shares issued by Conpet, with the price per share standing at RON 48.75”, the FP said in a report to the BVB.
As a result of the transaction, the Fund still has only 524,366 Conpet shares, with its shareholding being cut to 6.1 percent from 28.7 percent.
Conpet, a company responsible to the Energy Department deals in the transport of crude oil, gasoline, ethane and condensed through pipelines and by means of railway tank wagons with a view to supplying the refineries based in Romania and in the Balkans with both domestically-produced and imported crude and its derivatives.
FP also sold blocks of shares it held in natural gas producer Romgaz and power transporter Transelectrica by private placement on the stock exchange.

I started my way in life with the intention to pursue a teaching career. But, after graduating from the Faculty of Letters – the University of Bucharest in 2004, my first job as a reporter at one of the leading newspapers in Romania changed my perspective. I have specialized in communication and communication campaigns, following the Master's courses at the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies (FJSC), attending a BBC Communications scholarship.
I’ve represented several important publications in Romania as business journalist, being accredited in the finance and banking field. In 2015, I had the opportunity to interview the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission Chief for Romania, Andrea Schaechter. As business journalist, I also had the opportunity to interview ministers for Economics and Commercial
Affairs offices within different embassies in Romania or officials of large companies investing on the domestic market.
After almost 15 years of journalism, I still want to explore new ways, to inform and stay updated. That’s why The Romania Journal project fits me so well.
Today I describe myself as a passionate about the history of world culture, having a PhD in Hebrew Culture and Civilization, after a scholarship at the University of Haifa International School, as a language addict, an environmental activist, pet lover and traveler.
