Continental Anvelope buys former industrial platform UMT in Timisoara

Continental has bought 32 hectares of land from the UMT and Prompt companies group, representing most of the former industrial platform UMT in Timisoara. The acquisition will help the company expand the storage capacity of the finished goods and optimize its logistics costs.

The transaction has been concluded following negotiations between UMPT-Prompt group and ABA Consulting economic and legal advice company.

In the past 18 years of activity Continental has invested over EUR 460 million in its tires factory and has created 2,500 jobs. Continental Anvelope Timișoara has produced and delivered until now 200 million tires to its customers in Europe and worldwide.

Continental is constantly investing in technology to improve the quality of its products and procedures, while getting involved in developing new technology to protect the environment.
