Earlier this year, Cristian Colteanu has left the helm of GE Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova, ending one of the most long-term local management mandates, zf.ro informs.
The Romanian was appointed as the new GE Regional Executive in 2007, after more than 30 years of experience in international business and government sectors. Cristian Colteanu was also Ambassador of Romania to Italy during 2003-2007.
“His departure from the top of GE’s regional operations takes place in one of the most delicate moments for the US giant group, marked by the collapse of shares and business on energy,” the source reads.
According to sources in the market, Colteanu’s position has disappeared after his departure, GE’s entities in the countries he supervises will report directly to the group.
GE has been active in Romania since 1984.
