CTP Czech Company that is to purchase Cefin Arad logistics park will invest up to EUR 15m in the project this year.
The logistics park, built by the Cefin Italian group in 2011, will also be rebranded, under the new name of CTPark Arad.
The 93,000-square meter park is located on Arad’s outskirts, near A1 pan-European highway and near Arad-Timisoara national road.
The management of the Czech developer explained they chose Arad for this investment as “it is the most important point for the trans-European road and railway transport in Western Romania”, but also for the existing cargo terminal available on the local airport. The Czech investors also say the region has the advantage of continuous industrial rise, supported by attractive costs of the work force.
CTP General Manager Remon Vos told a press conference in Arad on Thursday that the purchase procedures will be concluded this year and the park will enter a revamping process, with the total investment reaching to EUR 15m this year. CTP also contemplates at buying new lands in the area. According to Vos, the company will expand in Romania, intending for new investments worth EUR 100m.
CTPark will offer units available starting 1,000 square meters, being appropriate for logistics companies, especially for those searching plug&play solutions. Among the park’s current renters are Gebruder Weiss, Schenker and Gefco.
Arad industrial park was put up for sale by direct negotiation last year.
