Romanian car manufacturer Dacia recorded a sales decline of 8.5 percent in Europe (EU and EFTA) last month. Thus, according to the statistics of the European Car Makers’ Association (ACEA) released on Tuesday, the market share of the automaker fell to 2.6 percent from 3.1 percent in the same period in 2014.
Dacia car registrations in Europe amounted to 20,092 units last month, down from August 2014 (21,956 vehicles).
In the first eight months of this year, the deliveries of Dacia recorded a 3.5 percent increase in Europe, but the market share of the automaker fell to 2.8 percent from 2.9 percent in January – August 2014.
At end-August, Dacia car registrations in Europe amounted to 260,192 units, an increase compared to the same period in 2014 (251,467 vehicles).
