Dacia sales grew 19 percent last year to 511,000 vehicles, the main market is still France, with nearly 105,893 units, while in Romania the deliveries advanced also by 19 percent to 29,625 units, equivalent to a market share of 31.2 percent.
„Thus Dacia enters in a very limited group of auto manufacturers which are making 500,000 cars per year. We are passing over half a million cars sold, being among dynamics in Europe. It is an important source of pride. Dacia’s trend is positive, with an increase of 19 percent compared to 2013. We recorded growth in many countries, including Romania,” said Jan Ptacek, General Manager of Renault Commercial Roumanie in a press conference on Monday, Mediafax informs.
The Sandero was the best selling car model, 169,000 units, of which 80 percent in Western Europe. Then it follows Duster with 160,318 units sold, mainly on Romanian, French and Spanish markets. Dacia has also sold 100,000 Logan models, mostly in Romania and in other Eastern European countries.
„We have confidence in Romania’s market potential, because it returned to growth in 2014. We hope that the trend will continue in 2015. It should be a very good year for Dacia, we look optimistically at 2015. We will enrich the range with new models, respectively Lodgy and Dokker Stepway,” Ptacek said.
