David Popovici chooses Liziera de Lac, the premium residential project near Bucharest
David Popovici started the year 2025 in his new house that he bought in the Liziera de Lac residential complex, a premium project developed by Liebrecht & wooD and positioned on the shores of Lake Tataru, less than 20 minutes from the Pallady area. The place that the champion now calls “home” offers the comfort and facilities of a city, and the tranquility of a secure residential complex. Due to its location in the middle of nature, Liziera de Lac is the perfect setting in which David can prepare for the exam sessions at the University.
In addition, the connection to the A2 via a 5 km access road built by Liebrecht & wooD, the access to the A0 and the ring road allow him to be close to the area of the capital where it conducts its training. Thus, the medalist from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games benefits from the long-awaited balance between professional, academic and personal life at Liziera de Lac.
With the signing of the sale-purchase contract, David also became the ambassador of the Liziera de Lac project, a residential complex dedicated to those who want a sustainable, modern lifestyle, in harmony with nature, in a premium environment.
The partnership was a natural step for both parties, the excellence, performance, prestige and aspirational lifestyle promoted by David being in line with the values of Liziera de Lac, a superior, reliable project, based on the vision of building, at high European standards, a sustainable community, with a focus on quality of life, modern comfort, community life and closeness to nature.
As a sign of appreciation for his outstanding performances, Liebrecht & wooD decided the semi-Olympic pool of the ensemble to be named after David Popovici, the first Olympic champion in a men’s event in the history of Romanian swimming. The distinction emphasizes respect for the efforts and achievements of the athlete, a symbol of excellence and perseverance. Thus, the pool will be not only a reference point of the project, but also an emblem of the values that define Liziera de Lac and a landmark for the remarkable community of residents, already united.
The athlete spent Christmas at the complex and says it takes him no more than 25 minutes to drive from home to where he trains.
“For me, this is an important investment, not only financial, but also personal. I’ve been looking for a long time for a place that resonates with my values and lifestyle – a space where I can find the balance between intense preparation for competitions and moments of tranquility and an excellently built home, with a premium look and finishes, where I can feel comfortable and safe. At Liziera de Lac, I discovered more than a house, I discovered a community, and it is an incredible feeling to know that you are surrounded by people who share the same values. In addition, the proximity to the city and the fact that I can quickly reach my areas of interest in Bucharest were essential for the decision to move to Liziera de Lac”, said David Popovici. “I also think this is a good financial investment, because the project will develop and the area has great potential,” the champion added.
Liziera de Lac is more than a residential project: it is a place positioned in the middle of nature, far from the hustle and bustle of a metropolis, but with quick access to all urban amenities and contemporary living needs. The complex is less than 20 minutes from the Pallady – IKEA shopping area and the Anghel Saligny metro station, and only 35-45 minutes from the Unirii area, depending on traffic hours. Residents of Liziera de Lac also have a minibus to Bucharest at their disposal, and the quick access to the A2, the ring road and the A0 highway, which will soon facilitate the connection with the northern part of the capital, allow them to be easily connected to the life of the metropolis. In addition to modern infrastructure and facilities, Liziera de Lac stands out for its firm commitment to sustainability. The complex, which has over 52% green spaces, already has water collection and treatment plants and an independent irrigation system.
“Through Liziera de Lac, we set out to shape in the immediate vicinity of the capital a community that values nature, balance and authentic human interaction and to create in the Eastern part of Bucharest, which is developing rapidly, in a picturesque and very accessible area, a premium residential project. Thus, we have designed a unique micro-universe, with lake, forest and high-class urban facilities, everything we need for a comfortable and happy life. We have completed the first phase of the project, we have seen how our vision is fulfilled, how the community and the lives of the inhabitants are built here, and now we welcome David Popovici in our midst and we are very proud and happy that all the efforts behind this visionary project bring us results,” said Patrick Van Den Bossche, Founder & Managing Director of the Liebrecht & wooD.
I am glad to see that this project, the first developed by us in Romania, has become a reference point for modern homes and an alternative to the classic way of living together. The presence of David Popovici, who is an example of our commitment to excellence, discipline, integrity and hard work, underlines our mission to create an elevated and comfortable space that promotes harmony, functionality and respect for the environment, demonstrating that Liziera de Lac is more than just a home – it is a lifestyle,” the official said.
The first phase of the Liziera de Lac project has been completed and includes 94 houses and multiple modern facilities, including a recreation space with a swimming pool for adults and children, basketball and tennis courts, playground, promenade, bicycle paths, spaces for sports activities, but also relaxation and leisure areas. Residents also benefit from an educational center, the AGORA Community HUB, which includes a coworking space, a fitness room and, in the near future, a restaurant and a café, all promoting an active and interconnected lifestyle in the middle of nature.
The second phase of the project will enter a straight line in 2025 and will consist of 39 three- and four-room houses (with areas between 87 and 117 sqm), built to the same high standard characteristic of the Liebrecht & wooD, which will continue the level of excellence of the project and strengthen the Liziera de Lac community. The starting price of the houses is 146,300 euros.
