Depaco, one of the local leaders on the metal tile market, part of TeraPlast group, the largest processor of PVC in Romania and one of the main manufacturers on the constructions and installations market, continues the expansion of the business and opens a new regional sales center, the second one in the country, in Cluj-Napoca.
The new premise is meant to serve better the Transylvania region. The company’s plans for the upcoming three months is to reach a 20% market share in northern and central Romania.
Depaco has provided metal tile roofs for 3,500 houses countrywide last month, while the threshold of 4,000 will be reached this month.
The first regional Wetterbest center was opened in Timisoara in April this year.
“The previous experience in Timisoara has confirmed to us that it is wise to be closer to people and Cluj is definitely a major pole in developing the Wetterbest brand,” said Valeriu Irimescu, CEO Depaco.
The new premise in Cluj is located on 113 Observatorului street and comprises a showroom and an office space. The company also has a warehouse, 20 km away from downtown Cluj-Napoca.
TeraPlast became the majority shareholder in Depaco one year ago, after the acquisition of another 10 percent of the shareholders stake in the company.
TeraPlast finalized the acquisition of 50 percent of the tiles producer, after the Competition Council approved the takeover in June 2017 and then, in November last year, Teraplast increased its shareholding by another 7 percent in the share capital of Depaco, thus having sole control over the tiles company.
