Bel Rom Group, which opened in 2008 Hello Shopping Park in Bacau and for which filed for insolvency in 2013, dropped to continue the proceedings while Dutch KBC Bank, the secured creditor, took over the mall, according to data published in the Official Gazette.
KBC Bank NV has a secured debt of EUR 21.08 million.
In 2014, Bel Rom recorded a turnover of EUR 2.67 million, a net loss of EUR 1.25 million and had 4 employees.
For another two malls of Bel Rom – Focşani Retail Park and Electroputere mall in Craiova, under insolvency too, it’s looking for buyers.
The Belgians from Bel Rom have sold two retail parks developed in Romania, in Sibiu (to Argo Real Estate) and in Tirgu Mures (to French group Natixis), for EUR 170 million and another one in Braila for EUR 63 million.
