Netherlands is providing technical assistance to Romania for prioritizing investment, debt management and analysis of public spending, the Ministry of Finance (MFP) informs in a press release, according to a memorandum of understanding, signed on Tuesday by Minister Anca Dragu and her Dutch counterpart, Jeroen Dijsselbloem.

The signing comes following the talks between the two finance ministers on the sidelines of the Ecofin Council and the technical meetings that took place at MFP headquarters.

“The support provided by Dutch government will lead to an acceleration of the priority projects of the Ministry of Finance and streamlining the institution’s activities in key areas. We engaged in an intense process of reforms aimed at prioritizing public investment and a careful analysis of costs,” Anca Dragu stated.

The program will consist of exchanges of documentation, consulting visits of the experts of the two countries, training programs, attending seminars, workshops and conferences in each of the two countries.

This does not involve financial efforts from the Ministry of Finance.
