E-Distributie Dobrogea invests over EUR 2.5 M for the modernization of a primary station in Constanta

E-Distributie Dobrogea has begun an investment project worth approx. RON 12 million (approx. EUR 2.6 million) in order to modernize the primary station (high/medium voltage) Abator in the city of Constanta, a press release informs.

The primary station 110/20/10 kV Abator was put in function in 1963 and provides electricity, via the medium and low voltage grids, to over 25,000 household and business customers in the southern part of the city of Constanta.

The modernisation works started in the third quarter of 2017 and will replace equipment for all voltage levels including the power transformer 20/10kV. New primary equipment will be installed, as well as modern equipment for command, protection, automation and internal services. Also, the project will include the replacement of all secondary circuits and protection cables, and also of the connection to the ground installations, and the protection equipment against atmospheric discharges. The Abator station is integrated in the unified E-Distribuție system by new, state of the art equipment, which has modern technical agreements and is certified for work safety and security.

The project is part of an investment program carried out by Enel companies in Romania, aimed at securing improved service for the final consumers, assuring remote control and improving the quality and security of the network while also complying with Enel’s environmental standards.

I started my way in life with the intention to pursue a teaching career. But, after graduating from the Faculty of Letters – the University of Bucharest in 2004, my first job as a reporter at one of the leading newspapers in Romania changed my perspective. I have specialized in communication and communication campaigns, following the Master's courses at the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies (FJSC), attending a BBC Communications scholarship.
I’ve represented several important publications in Romania as business journalist, being accredited in the finance and banking field. In 2015, I had the opportunity to interview the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission Chief for Romania, Andrea Schaechter. As business journalist, I also had the opportunity to interview ministers for Economics and Commercial
Affairs offices within different embassies in Romania or officials of large companies investing on the domestic market.
After almost 15 years of journalism, I still want to explore new ways, to inform and stay updated. That’s why The Romania Journal project fits me so well.
Today I describe myself as a passionate about the history of world culture, having a PhD in Hebrew Culture and Civilization, after a scholarship at the University of Haifa International School, as a language addict, an environmental activist, pet lover and traveler.
