E van Wijk leases 75 pc of P3 Bucharest park’s new warehouse

Pan-European logistics property investor-developer P3 has signed a deal with Logistic E van Wijk, provider of integrated transport and logistics services, to lease 10,180 sqm of warehouse space and 252 sqm of offices in the new Warehouse 6 at P3 Bucharest park, a press release informs. The space represents 75 percent of the total size of the warehouse.

A team of 40 people will be based at the facility, which will be used to distribute an average of 15,000 pallets a month. The new warehouse is environmentally sustainable, meeting the highest international standards and the roof uses solar panels to lower the operational costs.

“We are an established, dynamic company, with wide range of specialisations: international transport, regional transport, distribution, storage and added value services. (…) Today we start on a new road as a team and we are confident that we will be much stronger together and that we will be able to deliver everything we promised to our clients! Together with the launch of our new premises we are also celebrating our 25th anniversary in Romania and our 10th anniversary in the Bucharest market”, Tudor Iuga, Branch Manager, Logistic E van Wijk states.

According to Blake Horsley, P3’s Country Head in Romania, a warehouse is more than just a building.

“It´s a home for a business and an integral part of its success. E van Wijk is an important company and we are proud they have chosen us as their partners,” Horsley says.

Logistic E van Wijk is a European provider of integrated transport and logistics services with subsidiaries in Romania, the Netherlands, Ukraine and Poland. The company started in the Netherlands in 1949, before expanding into Romania and then Ukraine and Poland. With a fleet of over 350 trucks, the E van Wijk Group provides coverage of all Europe’s main markets and generates a growing consolidated turnover of over EUR 80 million. Logistic E van Wijk Romania has 370 employees, 185 Euro 5 and Euro 6 trucks, 20,000 m2 of storage space in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Arad.

P3 currently has a total of 305,000 sqm in 11 warehouses at P3 Bucharest park. Located just 13 km from the city centre, P3 Bucharest park is on the city ring road, which provides easy access to all six Bucharest districts, Henri Coanda International Airport (22 km away) and the A2 motorway. P3 has recently completed three new buildings at P3 Bucharest park and is also looking to expand in Bucharest as well as central and western parts of the country.
