The plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies has adopted the draft law initiated by PNL on removing the excise duty on fuels and the overcharged duties on part-time employment contracts.
The Liberals argued that, by removing the excise duty on fuels, the price at the pump will decrease and an injustice is repaired in the case of the part time contracts. The initiators argued that the Romanian state is compelled to check if employers are observing the law.
PSD, which enforced these provisions while in power, said now from the Opposition’s camp, that these actions won’t solve anything , but on the contrary will fuel the partly undeclared work, while the fuels will be more expensive. Moreover, SocDems say that RON 4.5 billion from the state budget will be lost
The laws will come into force as of January 1, 2020.
