EximBank lends EUR 14 M to Maschio Gaspardo Romania to support investments in agricultural equipment

EximBank and  Maschio Gaspardo Romania  signed a financial agreement  of almost EUR 14 million for current activity and for supporting the investment program of the manufacturer of agricultural equipment in order to reach its business targets, a press release informs.

”Romanian agriculture has a significant development potential but its harnessing as well as increasing the competition in the field requires investments for increasing performances, revitalization of rural areas and new employment facilities. Romanian manufacturers of agricultural machinery are positioning themselves as development figures in the field, bringing on a modern approach on the agricultural processes management, so we are delighted that by concluding this financial facility, EximBank supports the increase productivity and the modern approach in Romanian agriculture”, Traian Halalai, Executive President of EximBank, stated.

Maschio-Gaspardo Romania, part of the Italian group Maschio Gaspardo, worldwide leader in production of agricultural  equipment for cultivating, seeding/planting, harvesting and crops protection owns a production facility in Chisineu-Cris, (Arad) 43 kilometers away from Arad  producing various equipment for agrimotors (scarifier tools, disc harrows, cultivating racks, baling presses).

Also, Maschio Gaspardo is distributing in Romania through dealer network, the other equipment produced in the facilities belonging to the Italian group. Company’s clients are big farming facilities, buying machineries for working on large surfaces as well as middle and small farmers. 

”We have chosen Romania as a location for our operations since it ensures easy access to key markets in Central and Eastern Europe and we are determined to continue our investments here in order to consolidate our top position on the market. At present, we have a EUR 10 million on-going project for extending the production facility in Chisineu-Cris with a new production hall of more than 8,600 sqm with the respective specific equipment and tools for producing and assembling the agricultural equipment”, said Mirco Maschio, President of Maschio Gaspardo Group.
