Romanian cosmetics producer Farmec, based in Cluj-Napoca, will launch next week the first Gerovital shop in Bucharest, hosted by ParkLake mall, the company announced.
According to Nielsen studies, Farmec is the number one in the ’face care products’ category in Romania, with a market share of 27 percent (both in volume and in value), while its top brand Gerovital ranks first in this category, in terms of sales value.
In the ’hair treatments’ category, Farmec is again leading through the Gerovital Plant Treatment brand, with a percentage of 30.8 percent in terms of value.
At the same time, Farmec ranks first both in the ‘descalers’ segment through its Triumph range, covering the domestic market at a rate of 41.1 percent in terms of volume and 37.7 percent in terms of value, and the ‘kitchen care products’ segment through its Nufar range, leading with a market share of 39.7 percent in terms of volume and 37.2 percent in terms of value.
According to Farmec’s general director Mircea Turdean, the company is constantly increasing its online sales and expands its product portfolio.
Farmec products get to over 30 countries, the main markets being Japan, Hungary, Poland, Republic of Moldova, Iraq, Kuwait, Greece and Canada.
Farmec has owned the exclusive right of Gerovital brand since 2008.
