Fashion Days calls customers to be ‘true detectives’ on Black Friday: over 600,000 products, with up to 90 pc discounts

The online fashion retailer Fashion Days, part of the global digital and media group Naspers, is ready to launch its offer for this year’s Black Friday campaign.

Under ‘Be a true fashion detective’ impulse, Fashion Days is offering 600,000 products from over 1,000 brands, with discounts up to 90 percent.

“This is the third year in which we organize the Black Friday sale, after the great success of the previous campaign. Our goal is to offer a large number of products at very low prices, therefore the total amount of the discounts we will have this year is EUR 18 million,” Gabor Cseh, CEO of Fashion Days said in a press conference on Wednesday.

The product range for the event includes hundreds of thousands of items in clothing, footwear and accessories from world-known fashion brands, such as: Calvin Klein, United Colors of Benetton, Just Cavalli, Esprit, Pepe Jeans, Guess, Nike, Triumph, Puma, Converse, Ray Ban, Love Moschino, Only, Vero Moda, Desigual, Jack&Jones, Mango, Timberland, Napapijri a.s.o.

For 2016, Fashion Days will include in its portfolio new brands such as: Ted Baker, Crocs, Superdry, Luggage, Naturino, Tosca Blu.

The topic “Be a true fashion detective” was chosen to highlight the new features of the Fashion Days shop, which allow users to search and discover what they are looking for in a much faster and easier way, by using the search box and the filters for colour, price, brand, product category and size.

Exclusive access to the campaign will be provided 4 years earlier to all Fashion Days’ mobile apps users. They will have the possibility to start shopping at 8 PM on Thursday, before the official start of the event at midnight. Black Friday will continue for three days, until and including Sunday, November 22.

On last year’s Black Friday, the online fashion retailer sold a record of 200,000 products and the total amount of the discounts amounted to EUR 8.4 million. Women were the more active buyers forming 75 percent of all customers, whereas men were 25 percent.

To be well prepared for this Black Friday event, Fashion Days launched also the 3.0 version of the mobile apps.

With this new version, the Fashion Days store is fully open to all app users without registration, providing access to the entire product range.

“Currently, more than 50 percent of Fashion Days sales in Romania are coming from mobile devices,” Cseh stated.

Cristina Popa, Deputy CEO Fashion Days, estimates the value of online fashion market in Romania at EUR 170 million and forecasts that will grow by 20 percent this year.

Meanwhile, eMAG has completed the acquisition of Fashion Days after receiving the authorization from the competition authorities of the countries where it operates, namely Hungary and Bulgaria.

“We try to benefit from synergies with eMag and now we study the possibility of opening delivery points and even fitting rooms,” Razvan Predica CEO of Fashion Days said.

He adds that the takeover by eMag will bring not only operational efficiency but also access to a base of 1.4 million customers annually.
