0.79 pc inflation rate in March


Inflation rate reached 0.79% in March, up from 0.4% in February, a National Statistics Institute (INS) release informed on Friday.
In March 2015, compared to the same month of last year, the highest rise was recorded by the tariffs for services, up by 1.55%, followed by the prices of non-food goods – up by 1.17%, while foodstuffs – minus 0.07%.
Compared to the previous month, in March 2015, all groups of goods recorded increases in prices: services — by 0.15%, non-food products — by 0.62%, and foodstuffs — by 0.29%.
The monthly average rise in prices was 0.4% in Q1 of this year, similar to that in the same period of last year.
In the last 12 months the average consumer price increase, based on consumer price index, is 0.9%, as compared to the previous 12 months (April 2013 to March 2014).
