Banca Transilvania, the largest lender of the Romanian economy, has become Associate Member of the Romanian Investor Relations Association (ARIR). The company is recognized for its activity of over 25 years in the banking sector and is the first bank listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The company’s market capitalisation increased on average by 50% per year since the listing.
“We are glad that we can share from our experience on the capital market and contribute to implementing best practices in investor relations by Romanian companies. Investors are the main partners for listed companies. In their investment decision, they need a coherent dialogue based on which to build their trust in the business environment as a whole, in the company’s potential and in the quality of the people who started and run the respective business,” said Mihaela Nădăşan, Deputy CEO FI & Financial Markets, Banca Transilvania.
“Most active investors on the stock market had at least once in their portfolio shares of Banca Transilvania, a landmark company on the Romanian capital market and the most traded share on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Excellence in Investor Relations has been appreciated by investors and we are pleased to build within ARIR a strong team of professionals that will contribute to the most important projects for the market. We also congratulate Banca Transilvania for the inclusion of their shares in the FTSE Russell Index for emerging markets, as of September 2020,” said in her turn Daniela Șerban, ARIR President & Co-Founder.
Banca Transilvania is the largest bank from Romania in terms of assets, with a market share of over 16% and has over 3 million clients, out of which 700,000 credited clients. The company is also the only Romanian bank included in the 2019 Global Brand Finance Banking 500 ranking, with a brand value of $242 million.
