Cătălin Munteanu joins BCR as Executive Director of the Products and Retail Segments Division

One of the most renowned banking professionals in Romania, Cătălin Munteanu, joins Banca Comerciala Româna team, as Executive Director of the Products and Retail Segments Division of BCR.

Cătălin Munteanu (48) has been working in the banking system for over 20 years, accumulating consistent experience in retail banking, digital transformation of financial services, asset management and change management.

Before joining the BCR team, he held the position of Executive Director of Individual Clients at Raiffeisen Bank Romania, starting in 2014, as well as a member of the Raiffeisen Asset Management Board (2017). He also held the position of Regional and Group Director within the same bank (2009-2014) and also worked within BRD, Alpha Leasing, Unicredit Leasing.

Cătălin Munteanu graduated from the Faculty of International Economic Relations, within the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies and later followed two MBA programs of the Open University Business School, as well as several international training courses in Cybersecurity (Oxford University), Digitalization and Executive Management (INSEAD).
