Finance Minister, Eugen Teodorovici, has met on Wednesday the IMF delegation, headed by Jaewoo Lee, head of mission for Romania and Bulgaria, on issues related to economic development outlook, modernizing the administration and corporate governance.
“Romania’s objectives over short term are the accession to the OECD, reaching the emerging market status and joining the Schengen area. There are measures to ensure the fast development of Romanian economy,” Finance Minister Teodorovici said.
The IMF mission is paying a visit to Bucharest during November 6-12 to have talks with Romanian authorities about the budget execution in 2018, the macro-economic outlook, the budget for 2019 and the progress made on structural reforms.
