President Iohannis hopes discussions with next IMF mission to reflect greater improvements
Romanian President Klaus Iohannis received Monday at Cotroceni Palace, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) – European Commission (EC) and World Bank (WB), joint delegation. President Iohannis expressed hope that in the future mission of the Fund, the discussions will reflect greater improvements, a press release reads.
Iohannis was informed by the international financial institutions representatives on the stage of Stand-by Agreement with Romania and on the conclusions of the current joint mission of the three lenders.
Government did not reach an agreement with the international financial partners about the increase in the price of natural gas and the restructuring of the Hunedoara and Oltenia energy complexes, for which reason a letter of intent will not be signed yet. The rest of the objectives are fulfilled.
