See when Romania will reach 100 pc absorption of European funds…
At the end of July, Romania will have approved all European funding programs for the financial year 2014 – 2020. So that the country will have no excuse if, at the end of the period, will not record an absorption rate of 100 percent, Mircea Nica, minister of European Funds said in a press conference, agerpres.ro informs.
He said that the only program that will not be approved this summer is the one of fishing, which has a reduced financial allocation. For this it is expected the approval in September. Minister Nica recalled that this week Romania expects the Regional Operational Programme approval from European Commission.
According to him, at the EU Commission request, for the next financial year it is envisaged to simplify procedures, especially regarding costs.
Currently, the absorption rate is 54.42 percent, according to the Ministry of EU Funds.
