USD hits new record against RON, draws closer to 4.08 units

The Romanian National Bank (BNR) announced on Monday an exchange rate of for RON 4.4439 per EUR, against a background of slight depreciation of the EUR against the currencies in the region, while the USD went up by 2.88 bani to RON 4.0779 per USD, and recorded the fourth consecutive record high.
The reference exchange rate published by the central bank on Friday for the EUR stood at RON 4.4402, and the USD at RON 4.0491.
For Swiss Franc (CHF), the central bank announced an exchange rate up by 0.24 bani from RON 4.1457 to RON 4.1481.
