France’s ALTEN opens its first service center in Romania

French group ALTEN, involved in engineering and development projects for major industrial customers, as well as for those from telecom and the tertiary sector, will open in Iaşi next week the first service center in Romania, where it will hire over 160 people, mainly IT specialists and engineers.

“Launching the ALTEN Center in Iasi is part of the global strategy to create a large platform of nearshore and offshore engineering centers,” the company’s officials said.

ALTEN Romania recorded a turnover of RON 27.9 million in 2015, 34.1 percent more than in the previous year, and the net profit doubled to RON 3.2 million.

The local subsidiary of ALTEN Group was established in 2006, in Bucharest, with the aim to provide technical consulting for the customers of this specific market.

ALTEN Romania has a team of over 400 specialists in its offices from Bucharest, Timisoara, Cluj and Iasi. The team serves clients both locally and internationally, in sectors such as: automotive, aeronautical, banking and financial services, pharma and telecom, on software and web development projects, business analysis, business intelligence, project management, testing, technical support, auto and aero engineering, hardware design and motor calibration.
