Economy Minister Mihai Tudose met on Wednesday with delegations of General Dynamics, Bell Helicopters and Boeing. The talks were focused on possible cooperations in the defense industry, a press release informs. These companies have already worked with IAR Brasov and Romaero.
Moreover, the Romanian authorities have negotiated last year with the giant Boeing for buying two aircraft for Tarom fleet.
General Dynamics Corporation is an American global aerospace and defense company, one of the biggest suppliers of military equipment worldwide. Bell Helicopters is manufacturing a wide range of civil and military helicopters as well as civil and military tiltrotor craft, while Boeing is one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world.
“During the talks, the sides discussed issues of interest for investments in our country, the Romanian official stressing the importance of increasing US investments in Romania, which can help develop the economic dimension of the Strategic Partnership between Romania and the U.S.,” the release reads.
US companies’ delegations reaffirmed that Romania can be an ideal industrial strategic partner, developing sustainable, competitive and long-term business here.
