German Miele opens the second store in Bucharest following an investment of EUR 100,000

Germany’s Miele, leading manufacturer of premium household appliances worldwide, opens its second store in Bucharest, Dorobanti area. According to a press release, the new store comes with a new format concept – Miele Point, for which the investment amounted to EUR 100,000.

With a minimalist design, the store covers 100 square meters and exposes all categories of Miele products available in Romania from accessories and consumables, to espresso machines, washing machines and dishwashers, dryers, ironing systems, dryers, refrigerators and nestable appliances.

The German family-run company has opened five stores in three years in several Romanian cities. Expanding the store network is part of long-term business plan that the company first started three years ago with the showroom relocation from Otopeni in Bucharest Press Square (Piata Presei).

Currently, Miele has a network of 30 partners and 70 stores on the domestic market.

Besides stores, Miele owns also in Romania a factory of components in Brasov, inaugurated in 2009, the total investments of the German group from then until now amounting to EUR 30 million.

Miele had in 2015 a turnover of RON 15.6 million, compared to RON 9.5 million in 2014, the most popular being vacuum cleaners washing machines and dryers, being the biggest annual increase in sales of the German company in Romania.
