Romanian subsidiary of the German based manufacturer of pumps and systems for building services and industrial applications Wilo SE ended last year with an EUR 19.5m turnover, up by 37 percent compared to 2013. The company is pumping water to the peak of the tallest building in Romania (36 stories, 130-meter tall) the SkyTower on Barbu Vacarescu Street.
“The Romanian market grew up and we managed to take a share from the competition, as there was not quite a 37 percent increase on the market level. Amateurs have disappeared in constructions, and developers and lodgers also grew up. There was a particular juncture in 2014 which favoured us,” Alin Gorga, Wilo Romania manager said.
SkyTower’s technical basement opened its gates on Thursday. The value of the contract for the water pumping equipment purchase mounted to about EUR 300,000.
Among other important projects from Wilo Romania’s portfolio there are AFI Park Cotroceni, Bucharest One Office Building, Mega Mall Bucure?ti, Palace Mall in Ia?i, United Business Center Cluj-Napoca, Continental factories in Timi?oara and Sibiu, Ford plant in Craiova or RADET Bucure?ti.
