HARMAN International, global leader in connected car technology, is hiring 20 telematics coders in Romania.
The group has a team of 400 employees in Romania and intends to expand the development center in Bucharest by hiring more.
The Telematics team in Romania, currently comprising 80 employees, is designing the connected car ecosystem for the biggest car makers in the world. Mercedes and BMW have already implemented the Telematics system made in Romania.
Telematics describes a wide range of automotive connectivity solutions that leverage a telematics control unit (TCU) incorporating some form of cellular communication to create an automatic system. Thus the car can be controlled remotely only with the help of the cell phone or tablet.
